External Document Link
The External Document Link tool enables users to configure Lucity to search for documents in a third-party document-management system.
What system(s) can I integrate with Lucity? |
Lucity can link to any document-management system that allows users to access documents through a URL that includes the ID for the document asset. |
What do I need in Lucity? |
Each Lucity Asset record must store the ID that the document-management system uses to identify the document. Ideally, the Common ID applied in Lucity will be the same as the ID used in the document-management system. |
Note: The Admin Portal > Settings > System Settings > Documents > Enable External Document Integration option must be enabled to use this feature.
This function requires the Lucity Apps > Lucity Web > Configure External Document Links permission.
- In the Lucity module, find the field that contains the ID that is used by the external document-management system.
- Open the Field Properties for that field and write down its PropertyName.
-
